WILDBRAIN ANNOUNCES WAVE OF NEW DISTRIBUTION DEALS FOR SEASONS 1 AND 2 OF ANIMATED SERIES BRAVE BUNNIES
New international partnerships include Milkshake! (UK), Rai Yoyo (Italy) and TeleTOON+ (Canal+ Poland)
Toronto, ON – November 30, 2023 – WildBrain has secured a wave of international distribution deals for the beloved animated preschool series, Brave Bunnies. The news comes as producers WildBrain, Glowberry, Anima Kitchent and KidsMe launch a brand-new second season of the highly popular series, following last year’s announcement of their global partnership on the brand.
Under the partnership, WildBrain handles global distribution of the series, while Glowberry manages distribution in Ukraine, KidsMe in Italy, and Anima Kitchent in Spain. In consumer products, WildBrain’s leading agency, WildBrain CPLG, handles licensing and merchandising worldwide, outside of Ukraine, where licensing is handled by Glowberry, and Italy, where licensing and merchandising is handled by KidsMe.
The show’s curious and adventurous sibling bunnies, Boo and Bop, continue their global adventure through new distribution partnerships inked with TeleTOON+ (Canal+ Poland), Channel 5’s preschool strand, Milkshake! (UK), and Rai Yoyo (Italy) for both season one and two. Additionally, season one has been newly picked up by CNC Media International (South Korea) and Stan (Australia). Season one is also now available on the WildBrain+ SVOD channel on Comcast in the US. These international deals reflect the global appeal of the brand, adding to the list of platforms in more than 80 countries across LatAm, Canada, the UK, Europe, Nordics, the Middle East, Asia and Australia that have previously picked up the series. YouTube also remains a popular destination for Brave Bunnies fans, where the preschool brand continues to develop a global audience with new uploads each week on the official Brave Bunnies YouTube channel.
Caroline Tyre, VP Global Sales and Rights Strategy at WildBrain, said: “It’s easy to understand why we continue to see strong demand for Brave Bunnies from broadcasters and streamers worldwide. Through catchy songs, adorable characters and big adventures, the charming series engages kids everywhere, appealing to their sense of joy and imagination. It also fosters values of curiosity, creativity, acceptance and openness, encouraging kids to discover what they might have in common with new friends, while also celebrating what makes them different.”
Olga Cherepanova, Glowberry co-founder and Creative Producer on the series, said: “With Brave Bunnies, I wanted to create a series that would encourage children to be curious about the world around them, and to not only respect but celebrate its diversity. It’s rewarding to see children around the world connect so strongly with these important values through the show’s lovable characters and their adventures.”
Aimed at kids aged 2–5, Brave Bunnies (104 x 7’ total) follows Boo and her big brother, Bop, as they travel the world with their Ma and Pa in their Bunny Bus. Season two, which was produced by WildBrain’s Vancouver animation studio and Anima Kitchent’s studio in the Canary Islands, sees the Brave Bunnies continue their road trip adventure around the Bunny World, encountering old friends and making more new ones. Boo and Bop have some big surprises in store for small viewers as they visit their “Best Bunny Friends” at their homes, meeting their families, exploring their unique lifestyles and sharing new adventures.
