Based in Toronto, House of Cool is an industry leader specializing in pre-production for premium animated series and films. Part of WildBrain Studios, House of Cool was founded in 2004 by Ricardo Curtis and Wes Lui, who grew up as childhood friends. The renowned pre-production house has gone from a small group of artists to a studio partnering with many of the world’s biggest entertainment companies and brands, working on some of the most celebrated and popular animation projects of our times. Today, House of Cool is home to many of the most talented designers, story artists, editors and producers in the business, and Ricardo and Wes now bring their experience and vision across both WildBrain Studios and House of Cool, with Ricardo stepping into the role of Head of Creative, Animation and Wes as SVP, Business Development, Animation.

Notable past feature projects include Night of the Zoopocalypse, Despicable Me for Illumination; The Angry Birds franchise for Rovio and Sony Pictures Animation; PAW Patrol: The Movie and its sequel, PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, for Spin Master Entertainment; and The Peanuts Movie, Ferdinand, and the Ice Age and Rio franchises for 20th Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios. Notable series include What if…? for Marvel Studios; Gravity Falls for Disney; He-Man and the Masters of the Universe for Mattel and Netflix; and Trollhunters and Dragons: Race to the Edge for DreamWorks and Netflix.
