New licensing partners for Strawberry Shortcake include Glisten Cosmetics, Zara, Whatever! Makes You Happy and more


Toronto – September 28, 2026 – As WildBrain, a global leader in family entertainment, is set to launch its brand-new CG-animated series, Strawberry Shortcake’s Bake Shop, the company is headed to Brand Licensing Europe with a robust slate of new licensing partnerships for its beloved Strawberry Shortcake franchise. Premiering October 16 on the official Strawberry Shortcake YouTube channel on the WildBrain Network, with the full 26 x 3’-episode season rolling out over the following year, the new bite-sized series follows Strawberry and her Berry Besties as they bake the world a better place one sweet treat at a time.


Ahead of launch, WildBrain unveiled the official series trailer and poster art, offering fans their first glimpse at the full cast of Strawberry’s Berry Besties—including beloved characters Orange Blossom, Blueberry Muffin, Huckleberry Pie, Raspberry Tart, Apple Dumplin’ and Custard—in their all-new CG looks inspired by their classic 1980s designs.

Building global momentum towards Strawberry Shortcake’s 50th anniversary in 2028, the franchise has also launched its “Purrfect Pets” campaign celebrating the beloved animal companions of Strawberry Shortcake and her Berry Besties through new content, activities and pet-inspired products, which will be followed by the “Berry Bake Shop” campaign in fall 2027 celebrating the friendships formed while sharing sweet treats and special moments together. New content, brand campaigns and fan activations continue to celebrate the World of Strawberry Shortcake and her friends, creating fresh opportunities for fans and partners to embrace the franchise's enduring themes of friendship, kindness and community.

A fresh batch of licensing partnerships


WildBrain’s Strawberry Shortcake continues to expand across consumer products through a fresh lineup of licensing partnerships brokered by leading licensing agency WildBrain CPLG.

In beauty and lifestyle, new collaborations for Strawberry Shortcake include Glisten Cosmetics for a new collection of multi-use makeup palettes inspired by Strawberry and her Berry Besties, now available in Europe, and a global deal with Zara for a line of body mist sprays, launching spring 2027. In the U.S. and Canada, new agreements include Happy Brands for branded stationery and planners, now available, while in the U.S., Poppy & Pout has launched a limited-edition Berry Besties lip balm trio inspired by Strawberry Shortcake, Lemon Meringue and Orange Blossom, while Makeup Junkie Bags has come on board for Strawberry Shortcake cosmetic bags, launching this October.

In apparel and accessories, new partnerships in the U.S. and Canada include Posh Peanut for its first Strawberry Shortcake collection launching later this year, Justice Brands for a fashion-forward apparel capsule for tweens launching spring 2027, Whatever! Makes You Happy for co-branded and stylized apparel and accessories, and Bull Airs for a limited-edition capsule collection spanning apparel, accessories and footwear, available for pre-sale winter 2026. International growth in the category continues through a partnership with Tao Tong in Singapore for a Strawberry Shortcake lifestyle collection, with the first drop set to launch in October featuring selected products across apparel, sleepwear, accessories, bedding, bags, pet products and more. Meanwhile, a jewelry collaboration in the U.S. and Canada with Alex and Ani, available May 2027, continues to extend the brand's appeal to tween, teen and adult fans.


The toy and collectibles category is also gaining momentum through a new partnership with Simba Toys in Europe. Additionally, new agreements in the U.S. and Canada include Kids Preferred for a collection of Strawberry Shortcake stylized plush, available spring 2027, as well as Q-Fig 3.5" collectible figurines from McFarlane Toys' QMx brand, launching June 2027, while in the U.S., the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum is set to launch a line of collectible bobbleheads.

Across retail and QSR, Strawberry Shortcake continues to build growth, with new worldwide SKUs through retail partner MINISO, as well as kids’ meal promotions with KUDU across MENA featuring Strawberry Shortcake-themed toys.
