New soapy teen drama based on best-selling author Jennifer Iacopelli’s novel explores the glamourous, high-stakes world of competitive figure skating

Toronto – January 8, 2026 – WildBrain, a global leader in kids’ and family entertainment, is set to bring its live-action teen drama series Finding Her Edge to Canadian audiences on January 22, with the Canadian premiere coming to Radio-Canada on its French streaming service ICI TOU.TV EXTRA, alongside the global streaming launch, including Canada, on Netflix. Radio-Canada will also air the series on its linear channel ICI TÉLÉ at a later date.

Two ice skaters in matching blue outfits perform on an indoor rink, looking each other in the eye.

Based on best-selling author Jennifer Iacopelli’s novel of the same name and inspired by Jane Austen’s Persuasion, Finding Her Edge follows three sisters who are heirs to a struggling figure skating dynasty. While middle sister Adriana trains for the World Championships with new partner Brayden, she still harbours feelings for her first love and former partner, Freddie. Her life becomes more complicated when she and Brayden pretend to be a couple off the ice so they can land a sponsorship to keep the financially struggling Russo rink afloat.

Jeff Norton, Showrunner and Executive Producer, said: “Finding Her Edge showcases fantastic Canadian talent on both sides of the camera. I’m proud of what the cast and crew have built together, and I’m excited for viewers across Canada and around the world to meet the Russo sisters and follow Adriana’s journey on and off the ice.”

Award-winning Canadian author and executive producer Jeff Norton (Geek Girl, The Small Hand) serves as showrunner for the series, with Shelley Scarrow as head writer (Wynonna Earp, Degrassi: The Next Generation) alongside writers Sabrina Sherif (The Summer I Turned Pretty, Wild Cards), Jeff Norton and Jacqueline Pepall. Key cast include Madelyn Keys (A Mother’s Life, The Exchange), Harmon Walsh (Gossip Girl, Murdoch Mysteries), Alexandra Beaton (Overcompensating, Luckiest Girl Alive), Cale Ambrozic (Hotel Cocaine, We Were Liars) and Olly Atkins (Percy Jackson and The Olympians, The Casket Girls). Finding Her Edge was produced by WildBrain and commissioned by Family Channel in association with Netflix.
