Toronto, 6 July 2017 – Even more “Big Hugs” are coming to Family Jr. this summer as the beloved Teletubbies return for a second season filled with laughter, learning and fun. The new season brings exciting changes for the iconic foursome – Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po – who discover new areas of Teletubbyland, extend their friendship to the adorable Tiddlytubbies and ride on the brand new honk honk Tubby Car. Season two premieres on Monday, July 17 at 8 a.m. ET, ushering in a brand new episode of Twirlywoos, which also returns for its sophomore season.

Teletubbies continues to reflect children’s real life experiences as the four iconic characters forge meaningful bonds with their tiny friends, the Tiddlytubbies. The lovable interaction between the Teletubbies and Tiddlytubbies reinforces the positive values of nurturing, caring and love. Season two also introduces viewers to a new area of Teletubbyland, the Hidey Hup, a beautiful hidden glade where Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po discover the Tubby Bouncy, Tubby Slidey and Tubby Spinny – equipment that inspires loads of physical Teletubby fun. Although the Hidey Hup is over the hills and far away, the Teletubbies have their brand new honk honk Tubby Car to get them there! 

Familiar faces continue to join the Family Jr. lineup as the animated series Twirlywoos returns for its second season on Monday, July 17 at 8:15 am ET. These little creatures interact with the real world while learning everyday concepts such as through or underneath. Led by their curiosity, the Twirlywoos explore these notions, creating silly fun and surprises along the way. Following their season premieres, new episodes of Teletubbies and Twirlywoos will continue to air every Monday throughout the summer.

For those who can’t get enough of the Teletubbies, has games, printouts, videos and activities that are sure to keep preschoolers busy! New episodes of Teletubbies will also be offered on The Family Channel App and Family OnDemand, as they become available weekly, beginning July 17.
