Toronto, ON - 11 October 2016 – DHX Television gives viewers the ultimate thrill this October with Halloween 13, a programming event filled with eerie-sistible movies, bewitching specials and ghostly episodes of fan-favourite series. Kicking off Wednesday, October 19, the 13-day extravaganza delivers tricks and treats across Family Channel, Family CHRGD and Family Jr. leading up to the most fang-tastic night of the year. For spook-tacular games and contests, viewers can visit Family.ca, CHRGD.ca and FamilyJr.ca before heading to the Family Channel App to watch Halloween episodes.

Raising Expectations, “The Haunter Becomes the Haunted”, premieres October 23 at 4 p.m. ET. Check local listings for DHX Television’s full Halloween schedule.

Family Channel is ghoulishly delightful with Halloween programming haunting the network daily from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. ET/PT. Highlights include: a new We Are Savvy where Tehya, Sarah and Spencer try to scare each other with creepy stories; a hair-raising episode of Raising Expectations where Emmett convinces his siblings to create a haunted house; and a fashionably frightful Make Me Over in which the girls put their own spin on classic costumes. On Friday, October 21, viewers will be treated to the animated adventure Ghost Patrol, an original movie following two young ghostbusters who are lured into a scary old house and have to save their town from ghosts. Other frightening flicks airing this month include: Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant; Monster High: Welcome To Monster High; Monster High: Haunted; R.L. Stine’s Mostly Ghostly: Have You Met My Ghoulfriend; The Addams Family and The Addams Family Values.

Make no bones about it! Family CHRGD is bringing the scares with menacing movies and wicked episodes every day starting at 6 p.m. ET. In a new Nature Cat, Daisy has grown the biggest pumpkin ever and it’s up to the crew to try to get it to the Halloween party, while Pac and his buddies continue to protect Pac-World from evil spirits in the two part special, Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures: Pac’s Very Scary Halloween. Fearsome films also take over with network premieres of Edward Scissorhands, Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II, alongside creepy classics like Casper and Bunks. Then, on October 29 and 30, it’s a full weekend of Halloween mayhem!

Family Jr.’s carved out time daily at 3:30 p.m. ET for younger boys and ghouls to watch Halloween episodes of their favourite series. Not-so-scary new episodes of Bob the Builder, Nature Cat and Justin Time are sure to get preschool viewers in the spirit and howling for more. The fun continues on October 31 with spooky episodes of Yo Gabba Gabba!, Playdate, Bananas in Pyjamas, Julius Jr., Thomas and Friends and Franny’s Feet.

Bat’s not all! Ghostbusters-in-training can head to CHRGD.ca to test out the new game from Ghost Patrol and check out the Watch and Win Contest on Family.ca beginning October 19.Younger viewers, who are too cute to spook, can visit to FamilyJr.ca to play the Yo Gabba Gabba! Halloween Memory Match game. Plus, parents can enter the Halloween Circus Contest by submitting a photo of their child in costume for the chance to have the picture aired on TV. The ex-fear-ience carries on to the Family Channel App and Family OnDemand which will offer various Halloween-themed episodes as they become available daily beginning October 22.
