Halifax, NS - 25 September 2006 - Children's TV producer Decode Entertainment, a unit of DHX Media (AIM & TSX: DHX) has secured Australian sales with the Australian public broadcaster for 201 episodes of six children’s shows consisting of 3,713 total minutes from its library.
Season two of Planet Sketch – a co-production with the UK’s Aardman Animations – has been sold for broadcast on main channel ABC, while the teen spy series Delilah & Julius is set for ABC2. Another series of shorts, Naughty Naughty Pets is heading to both ABC channels.
In addition, all 71, 23-minute episodes of DHX Media’s Halifax Film unit’s POKO, a stop motion, preschool animation series, have been sold to ABC2.
Decode's live action productions have also sold to the Australian broadcaster with the second season of Radio Free Roscoe and first season of Naturally Sadie sold to ABC for its second channel.
ABC already airs a number of DHX Media series including the prime time 2D animated series Bromwell High, preschool shows Franny’s Feet and The Save-Ums!, as well as GirlStuff/BoyStuff, King, and the long-running Angela Anaconda.
