Production, distribution, licensing and interactive subsidiaries to use DHX Media label
Toronto, ON, London, UK - 8 September 2010 - DHX Media, a leading international producer and distributor of television programming and interactive content, is to rebrand all its subsidiaries under a common brand to strengthen its domestic and international identity.
From today, production units DECODE Entertainment, Halifax Film, Studio B Productions; television distribution division DECODE Enterprises; consumer products department DHX Licensing; and DHX Interactive will all fall under the single label DHX Media.
Steven DeNure, President and COO of DHX Media, said: “All of the DHX Media subsidiaries have a first-rate reputation and pedigree in their areas of expertise, but as our divisions work increasingly in tandem across our slate of projects, it’s a natural next step for us to rebrand under a common name and present a unified brand to the global market. This renaming across all divisions will strengthen our combined identity, and allow us to be more effective and focused as we move into the next stage of growth.”
DHX Media has offices in Toronto, Halifax and Vancouver and has a growing library of over 2,300 half-hours of mostly children’s and youth-oriented properties from own and third party producers. Live action series include That’s So Weird and How to Be Indie alongside animated series such as Animal Mechanicals, Franny’s Feet, Kid vs Kat, dirtgirlworld, and new preschool show Rastamouse, which it will be showcasing at BLE and MIPCOM.
