Caillou, DHX Media’s beloved four year old with a big imagination that carries him through the daily life of a preschooler, has been picked up by a number of licensees. Les Chocolats Vadeboncoeur is making multiple seasonal hollow and solid molded chocolates inspired by the show in a multiyear deal. While PlayWorld Mobile is producing a Caillou mobile app globally under the franchise.
Richard Scarry’s Busytown has been taken by Learning Touch LLC for a series of educational apps addressing key developmental areas including communication, hearing, language, lieracy, life skills, mathematics and color recognition.
The intergalactic antics of the Space Invaders will be featuring in a range of merchandising, with USAOPOLY producing the game Jenga and collectible jigsaw puzzles for North America. TriForce also takes the brand, producing high end, limited edition replicas in a multiyear deal for the US while StarBound Entertainment will feature the property on their specialized line of helium and cold air parade balloons. 50 Fifty Gifts licenses novelty gifts such as alarm clocks, key chains, and ice trays and is distributed by globally known Diamond Comics Distributors based in Baltimore. Diamond Comics is the world's largest distributor of English-language comic books, graphic novels, and related pop-culture merchandise, serving nearly 14,000 retailers.
In other deals, neighborhood daredevil Johnny Test is licensed in a multiyear worldwide deal with Percy3D for their line of digital party products while at the same time toy licensee, Imports Dragon has renewed their deal with DHX Media and the Johnny Test property.
