Halifax, NS - 22 April 2013 - DHX Media, a leading independent producer, distributor and licensor of mainly children’s entertainment content, has appointed Thom Chapman as its new Territory Manager.
Reporting to DHX Media’s SVP Distribution Josh Scherba, Thom will be responsible for sales to English-speaking Canada and the Asia Pacific territories. Joining the strong sales team already in place at DHX Media, Thom will focus on the expansion of DHX Media’s properties across all platforms in these key territories.
Prior to joining DHX Media, Thom was VP, Business Development and Sales at ToonBox Entertainment where he oversaw financing, PR, sales, deliveries, and advertising for the company’s animated projects.
Thom has also produced live action films for eOne, as well as creating and producing the YMA nominated 3D interstitial series The Beet Party, along with assisting in the pre-sales and financing of a number of other successful projects.
DHX Media has a vast and varied catalogue of 8,500 half hours of incredible children’s entertainment, from Yo Gabba Gabba!, Caillou and Inspector Gadget to Johnny Test. Thom will be responsible for exploiting the potential of the company’s new and catalogue titles with traditional broadcasters and digital platforms in both regions.
