DHX BRANDS’ TWIRLYWOOS LAUNCHES INTO NEW LIVE SHOW

Show licensed to Millennium Entertainment International for inaugural tour across key territories

Halifax, NS – 3 October 2017 – DHX Brands, the dedicated brand management and consumer products arm of DHX Media (TSX: DHX.A, DHX.B; NASDAQ: DHXM), has licensed Twirlywoos to Millennium Entertainment International (MEI) for the preschool series’ first-ever live theatrical tour. Premiering in 2018, the tour will perform across the globe in the brand’s key markets including the UK and Eire, Spain, the Middle East and Australia.

The performances will contain fan-favourite Twirlywoos characters and will feature puppetry to create a highly entertaining and engaging musical and interactive experience. Incorporating educational and developmental themes with lots of silly fun and surprises, the show will uphold the brand’s ethos of encouraging preschoolers to explore, discover and gain confidence in their own perceptions of the world. Specific tour details will be announced in 2018.

The news builds on DHX Brands’ recently announced deal with MEI for non-ticketed event rights for Twirlywoos, Teletubbies and In the Night Garden for South East Asia and Middle East.
