Paris, France – 1 April 2014 – Copyright Promotions Licensing Group (CPLG) France is delighted to announce that it has won awards in three hotly-contested categories at the French Brand Awards, held by the French Licensing Federation (Fédération Française des Droits Dérivés). Wins include the prestigious Property of the Year Award which went to Rabbids (Les Lapins Crétins), represented by CPLG for UK, Benelux, France, Germany (GAS), Iberia and Italy on behalf of licensor Ubisoft.
The bunny-based brand also picked up the Best Entertainment Property Award, with Despicable Me 2 (Moi, Moche et Méchant 2) taking the Best Licensed Promotion Award. Universal Studios is the licensor for the hit animated comedy, also represented by CPLG for UK, Benelux, France, Germany (GAS), Iberia and Italy.
CPLG France achieved further nominations with Skylanders up for Property of the Year and there were two other nominations for Rabbids in the Most Innovative Product and Promotion of the Year categories, making it a very successful night for the agency.
Marina Narishkin, Managing Director CPLG France said: “We are very proud of the work done by the licensees, retail partners and I’m proud of my team! It’s wonderful to have the expertise of my executives recognised by the French licensing industry. We support the activities of the Federation whose actions continue to be key to gaining respect and recognition in the French media world.”
The Rabbids are a race of bunnies who have evolved and adapted to our consumer society for over a hundred years, unseen to human eyes. They have schooled themselves through diligent study of our contemporary culture: Radio, TV, Internet, Movies, Comics, Press – and now, having devoured every last ounce of Pop Culture, this “superior race” has set out to ravage the world with its utterly skewed & completely irrelevant knowledge.
