STARS COME OUT TO MAKE TELETUBBIES LIVE A BIG HIT
Celebrity attendance and strong ticket sales make first-ever Teletubbies live theatre show a huge success; Additional tour dates announced
Halifax, NS – 20 November 2017 – Following the much-anticipated opening performance of the Teletubbies’ new stage show Teletubbies Live, DHX Brands is pleased to announce that new dates and stops have been added to the colourful foursome’s first-ever live stage tour.
Celebrities, journalists and influencers from across the U.K. – including Coronation Street’s Samia Longchambon; Julie and Tom Malone, popular stars of Channel 4’s hit show, Gogglebox; Stoke and Scotland footballer Charlie Adam; Kelvin Fletcher from ITV soap, Emmerdale; Sarah Jayne Dunn from Hollyoaks; and Luke Burgess, Salford Red Devils rugby league star – were amongst the multitude of fans who flocked to the Manchester Palace Theatre on November 17 for the highly anticipated show. Parents and children danced and sang along to their favourite songs, as beloved characters Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po took to the stage for a magical afternoon filled with music, laughter and of course, big hugs!

Teletubbles Live will tour across the U.K. and Ireland through to October 2018. Since the initial tour announcement in June 2017, DHX Brands has seen impressive ticket sales and an overwhelming demand for more shows across the U.K. Following Friday’s successful premiere, almost 230 new show dates have been confirmed across more than 50 theatres, with more to come!
Created especially for little ones, Teletubbies Live captivates fans of the show with laughter, music and love. Kids delight in exciting appearances from the Tubby Phone, Noo-Noo and Sun Baby and are transported to the magical world of Teletubbyland with Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po. An exciting event for the entire family, Teletubbies Live captures young children’s imaginations and encourages them to explore the world around them.
