DHX BRANDS INKS DEAL WITH MILLENNIUM ENTERTAINMENT INTERNATIONAL TO GROW GLOBAL LIVE EVENTS PRESENCE
Deal covers rights for non-ticketed events across key brands in South East Asia and Middle East
Halifax, NS – 13 September 2017 – DHX Brands, the dedicated brand management and consumer products arm of DHX Media (TSX: DHX.A, DHX.B; NASDAQ: DHXM), is boosting the consumer-facing presence of its flagship preschool brands Teletubbies, In the Night Garden and Twirlywoos globally, licensing non-ticketed events rights to Millennium Entertainment International (MEI) for South East Asia and the Middle East.
Under the new deal, MEI will plan and manage all costume character appearances, 20-minute shows and immersive mall activations for all three brands in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Turkey, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Oman and Saudi Arabia.

The MEI agreement underscores DHX Brands’ commitment to growing the live events and attractions component of its global consumer products business. Previously appointed licensees include Paragon Creative, for the design and manufacturing of indoor attractions across all three brands in the UK, continental Europe and the Middle East, as well as FieryLight, for the international Teletubbies stage show.
