Halifax, NS – 27 August 2015 – DHX Brands, the dedicated brand-management and consumer-products arm of DHX Media (“DHX” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ: DHXM; TSX: DHX.A, DHX.B), is collaborating with Jo Jingles, the UK’s largest provider of pre-school music, singing and movement classes, to create a branded In the Night Garden activity programme for preschoolers.
Throughout the Autumn Term 2015 the activity programme developed alongside Jo Jingles will reach over 30,000 young fans as part of their daily classes. Utilising the music, movements and rhymes from the whimsical In the Night Garden television series, the branded sessions will enrich and enhance the existing pre-school schedule.
Charlotte Hill, Senior Brand Manager DHX Brands said: “In the Night Garden presents a magical world which preschoolers are now able to access in a whole new way. Music and dance are key components of early learning and we are confident that the programme we have developed alongside our fantastic partners will be a new favourite. The sessions will be widely promoted through national and local advertising, on social media, on all In the Night Garden platforms, as well as on ichild.co.uk.”
Produced by Ragdoll Productions, In the Night Garden is a preschool phenomenon. The licensing programme is going from strength to strength and DHX Brands has invested heavily to create the world of In the Night Garden for every fan. To engage with the show’s loyal fan base, DHX Brands has created fresh consumer touch points such as a brand new immersive website, a pioneering web app, and new social media platforms.
In the Night Garden was the fastest selling preschool toy license of 2014 and it ended the year as the fifth largest preschool brand in the UK for 2014 (NPD Full Year 2014).
