YOUTUBE KIDS’ AND WILDBRAIN SPARK’S GLOBAL HIT SERIES SPOOKIZ MAKES MOVIE DEBUT

Feature length animation lines up in YouTube Kids’ Summer of Movies family viewing initiative

London, UK – 28 July 2020 – Spookiz, the YouTube Kids’ hit show, is giving its fans a ‘spooktacular’ treat this summer with premiere of the Spookiz feature-length film.

Kicking off YouTube Kids’ Summer of Movies, the Spookiz film will headline a slate of premium feature content for kids of all ages, and their families. It will debut as part of the YouTube Kids’ film season which runs across five weeks, until 31st August, in Canada, US, UK and Australia and which aims to entertain kids with long-form, quality content with many kids expected to spend longer periods of time this summer at home.

Here come the Spookiz –  in their very own MOVIE!

Monsters and humans aren’t supposed to meet. This is the lesson Reaper Sam teaches the Spookiz as they hide in the local school at night…but Cula becomes interested in a weird human device: the smartphone…

The phone accidentally ends up in Cula’s possession and, as he tries to return it without being seen, he meets Hana, a human girl and owner of the phone. Cula’s curiosity takes him further into the human world and a new friendship with Hana.

Cula tries to hide the secret but Zizi, Frankie, Kebi and Kong Kong find out. Cula has to prove why their friendship is important and why humans and monsters can live together. As they learn more from Hana and the humans, the Spookiz realise they’re not that different from them after all.

The monster sized Spookiz will launch on 27th July on the official YouTube channel and WildBrain YouTube channels.

Created by South Korea’s Keyring Studios, Spookiz achieved 34,868,772 views last month on YouTube Kids and has amassed over 1,099,889,634 minute of watch time this year alone. Spookiz is managed on YouTube Kids by WildBrain Spark.
