DHX MEDIA’S ‘ANIMAL MECHANICALS’ PLACED WITH DISCOVERY/HASBRO’S ‘THE HUB’

Halifax, NS – 17 May 2010 – DHX Media Ltd (TSX: “DHX”), a leading independent international producer and distributor of mainly children’s television programming and interactive content is pleased to announce that the previously disclosed broadcast license for its hit preschool series Animal Mechanicals is with new Hasbro/Discovery

Communications network ‘The Hub’. The Hub formally announced its debut and fall lineup this morning at 9:00am EDT on its press website http://press.discovery.com/us/hub/.

Animal Mechanicals is produced by DHX subsidiary Halifax Film for CBC in Canada, and has previously been licensed to Disney Channels in the UK, France, and Asia, ABC2 in Australia, M-Net in South Africa, Discovery Latin America, EBS in Korea, and Al-Jazeera’s Children Channel in the Middle East by DHX distribution subsidiary DECODE Enterprises.

Announced in April 2009, The Hub, a multi-platform joint venture between Discovery Communications and Hasbro, Inc. will entertain, enlighten, empower and educate children and their families. The cable television network will feature original programming as well as content from Discovery’s library of award-winning children’s educational programming; from Hasbro’s rich portfolio of entertainment and educational properties built during the past 90 years; and from leading third-party producers worldwide. The Hub lineup will include animated and live-action series, specials and game shows, and the network will extend its content through a robust and engaging online presence.
