
David Graber
General Counsel and Head of Business Affairs
With nearly twenty years of respected legal expertise and business experience, David Graber joined W!LDBRAIN in October 2006 as the studio’s General Counsel and Head of Business Affairs. In this role, Graber oversees all business and legal affairs for the studio—corporate, film, television, interactive and home video.
As Head of Business Affairs for DreamWorks Home Entertainment from 1998-2006, Graber routinely handled complex legal and business issues for the company’s video division, including transactional, litigation, personnel, anti-trust and intellectual property matters. Additionally, he negotiated all legal matters relating to the video division’s distribution and licensing, sales, marketing, promotions and acquisitions. His responsibilities also included negotiating and drafting production service agreements for animation titles and handling all DVD bonus content.
Prior to his position at DreamWorks, Graber was Director of Legal and Business Affairs, Europe for Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment International. Based in London, he managed business and legal affairs for Fox’s six subsidiaries and nineteen licensees throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa. He also negotiated and drafted all agreements relating to Fox’s operations in those territories and supervised outside counsel.
After graduating Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude from U.C.L.A. with a Bachelor of Arts, Graber received his Juris Doctorate cum laude from Harvard Law School. He began his law career as an entertainment litigator at O’Melveny & Myers and later became a litigation partner specializing in entertainment and intellectual property law at Rosenfeld, Meyer & Susman, LLP in Beverly Hills, California.
