Christian Jacobs & Scott Schultz
Co-Creators, YO GABBA GABBA!

Growing up as an actor in Los Angeles, Christian Jacobs appeared in numerous commercials, television shows and films, including cult classics Pretty in Pink and Gleaming the Cube.  Jacobs later moonlighted in various rock bands and, in 1994, co-founded the cartoon rock band The Aquabats. Inspired by 1970s Saturday morning cartoons, B-movies and Japanese super-monster movies, The Aquabats have a huge cult following and continue to play to sellout crowds.

Scott Schultz comes from a family deep-rooted in entertainment. His father directed music variety shows and Scott spent much of his childhood touring the world with his dad. Later, Schultz worked as an editor and segment producer at a Los Angeles-based music video show and toured the country performing with his band, Majestic.

As teens, Schultz and Jacobs partnered to produce and direct a number of skateboarding and music videos. They have creatively teamed together since, and, in 1999, started developing concepts for children’s programming.

Eager to create a show that they could enjoy along with their own children, Jacobs and Schultz developed the pilot for “YO GABBA GABBA!” After creating an online viral frenzy with the pilot trailer, the show ultimately found a home on Nick Jr. Time Magazine recently named “YO GABBA GABBA!” one of the Top 10 New TV Series for 2007.

Christian Jacobs lives in Huntington Beach, CA with his wife and three children. Scott Schultz lives in Brea, CA with his wife and three children.
